Hello there! I don't post here too often anymore, but I hope you all enjoyed series 2 of Sherlock as much as I did. I'm also terribly behind on Merlin but hope to catch up soon.

This was originally a fill for the kurt_blaine prompt post, I ended up I doodling some art while still vegetating on spring break and thought I'd give it its own post. Drawing Blaine with persocom ears made me nostalgic for the old days of CLAMP...

Blaine wasn't designed to be a bodyguard (with the right programming he does okay), but as the replacement for the son of the scientist who built him. Kurt doesn't want to be one of *those* people, the kind that fall in love with glorified computers, but Blaine seems so human--like he loves him back, though he hasn't been programed to...
Notes/Warnings: Kurt/Blaine, sci-fi AU, "what measure is a nonhuman?" fic, mashup of A.I., I, Robot, and Chobits (TV Tropes link warning!). Mild language, technobabble. The textures used for their shirts came from the fantastic Lost and Taken.
Summary: His dad sees an ad in the newspaper; a man by the name of David Anderson is selling a companion mecha for a far cheaper price than any other brand or model, used or new. The mecha will have its memory wiped before delivery, it has a customizable operating system, and is in mint condition.
